Put your best foot forward! We are slowly getting back to a more civilized life outside of our homes. So why not step out in style. I’m sharing a 6 Shoe Trends for Summer 2021 that I found worth clicking your heels about.
Sneakers
Oh yes! This fun comfortable shoe gives us support with a statement. Take advantage of this sporty look for when you are going to be on your feet a long time. Personally, I like the look of pairing sneakers with a dress or a midi skirt for a fun casual look.
Of course, if you’re a nice pair like this will take you from your workouts to errands. I wrote a full review on these shoes from Amazon here. Read: >> Amazon Sneakers
Ballet Flats
Take advantage of wearing a comfortable classic style. The newer modern day flats come with bows, and embellishments which work to make any outfit complete. I think ballet flats pair nicely with cropped pants or bermuda shorts.
Flatforms
I have a few pairs of flatforms and I like how they give me height. They will also elongate your legs. And, they are an alternate option to wearing wedges. Some have buckles, while others have velcro. Either way, it’s a funky looking shoe that will add a cool vibe to your style. I would pair them with a t-shirt dress or loose fitting tie waisted pants.
Slides/Mules
As always comfort is key, and so is convenience. Just slip on and head out the door. This season’s styles are not boring, as we are seeing bright pops of color and fun fabrics. Great for when your pedicure needs a refresh too! Really anything goes here. Slides work with shorts, skinny jeans and fun summer skirts and dresses
Flip Flops
Floral pops, metal studs, jellies. Suddenly flip pops are no longer just meant for the beach. Cute embellishments, have changed up where and when we slide into a pair. I have this pair that I found on Amazon and love. While they are not necessarily the most supportive shoe, I love the cute bow and fun detail. They also come in a variety of colors. I have had mine for over a year and get plenty of use from them. They offer a feminie appeal with a casual comfort.
Strappy Sandals
What is nice about this season’s dressy sandals is that they to can be comfortable. Square toes and block heels can be girly looking for evening without making your feet hurt. A great choice for date nights and weddings as they look nice with evening dresses, fancy slacks and flowy skirts.
You have just seen my picks for 6 Shoe Trends for Summer 2021. A new pair of shoes can change up the look of any outfit!
We owe it to ourselves to dust off our fun clothes and treat ourselves to a pair of new shoes. It’s a great way to lift your spirits after spending a lot of time in our slippers last year.

Hi Nancy
Is there ever such a thing as too many shoes? I think not! Love the selection, I am looking for another pair of espadrilles that lace up the leg. I just wore a pair of espadrille flatforms and like the platform. I was set to buy the Ted Baker flip flops from NR, but they are all sold out. They would be great for the beach this summer.

Hello Jess,
I hope all is going well with you! I’m sorry about the ted baker flip flops, they were really popular when they came out. Maybe something similiar will come up. flat forms are fun for me because they give me a little height and they are comfortable. I’m sure you will find some great looking styles as you have great taste.

You did a great job, Nancy. I love the variety you chose and the options of what would pair well with each. I can’t believe I actually like sneakers with dresses and skirts. Never thought I would see that! Such cute options these days.

Isn’t that funny Melanie, things we thought we would never wear we find ourselves trying out later in life. I remember business women wearing sneakers when they left work back in the early 90’s and thought it looked strange, and now I’m wearing them!
Enjoy your weekend!
