Being True to yourself- Dressing for confidence

Being true to yourself is an important aspect in finding your confidence. Who you are inwardly reflects your personality traits. Regardless of our age in years, how we feel about ourselves also defines how others perceive us. In other words, if you do not like what you see in the mirror, it reflects the image others see when they look at you. Your true character should be the best version of who you are. The question here is, how do you find and develop shining self-confidence?  I was recently invited to take the Carol Tuttle Energy Types quiz to determine my style personality. I have always been a fan of personality tests, especially the ones that guide your sense of fashion. Even though I have a lot of confidence in what style best suits, I was pleasantly surprised with my assessment.

Dressing Your Truth-Carol Tuttle Energy Types Quiz

After reviewing my evaluation, I learned that there are four types of beauty traits. Carol explains that our inner qualities are expressed through true nature. If you try to work against your personality type, you will not allow yourself to love who you truly are. Carol Tuttle’s Energy Type Quiz reveals that there are four types of energy that define the qualities within our individual personality. After taking the quiz you will learn your dominate gift or type of energy that reflects your personality. These gifts are all derived from nature and they are; air, fire, water, and earth. All of these are expressions of unique traits that will guide us in dressing our truth.

Finding Your Personality

I was a type one personality, which is described as colorful, vibrant, and animated. This last one fits me to a tee. My husband often jokes by saying that if he tied my hands together, I would not be able to speak. I also like to dance like no one is watching. Nor, can I sit still for long periods of time. And, pleasing others is especially important to me. All of these personality traits were on point with who I really am.

What Carol also teaches is how to adapt these traits into your fashion choices. In her guide she shows you how to honor your true nature when building your personal style. To help you become true to yourself, the guide also includes patterns, colors, and textures that suit your individual style type. There are even hairstyle recommendations and make-up application techniques to pull together a complete look.  

I liked that Carol stated “beauty should come forward with our confidence not with what we are wearing.” If you are not in your comfort zone with what you are wearing, then it is going to reflect a negative vibe to your appearance. Once you gain that confidence with how you look, it gives you power, you feel good, and dressing becomes fun! Ladies, this is not about defying your age, it’s about looking fabulous regardless of age.
