Early fall is always a hard time of the year when it comes to getting dressed. I am excited for the upcoming season and to wear fall clothes, like these sweaters, and jackets. However, the weather can still be quite warm. Most days, especially in Florida, it’s still very hot. That’s why, during the start of the season I like to incorporate more dresses into my closet. They keep you cool. And, depending on how you choose to style, can be dressed up or worn casually. Sharing a casual fall midi dress that will take you through the season.
A few weeks ago, I was back in the Chicago suburbs. And, my daughter Brittany and I went shopping at Nordstrom at Oak Brook. Which, for those of you who live outside the area, is an outdoor mall that we have always enjoyed going to. Some of my favorite memories include shopping with her there, no matter the weather! We’ve even braved the very cold winters dodging in and out of stores to keep warm.
Anyhow, she found this geometric print dress. The fun print instantly caught our attention. It is now back in stock and wanted to share.
This dress (wearing a size small) comes in a variety of colors and prints. Including floral, zebra, as well as a pretty green and pink color. The fit is bit more relaxed, and features more of a drop waist. Which was appealing to me as it is a style I haven’t worn in a while. If you want a more fitted look you may want to consider sizing down. There are also pockets, which is a perk!
We took the pictures for this post on a warm fall day. However, you can easily transition the dress into the cooler weather. Try adding a teddy jacket and your favorite booties. Another styling option would be to add a leather jacket with tall tan boots.
