It’s a jungle out there! Animal print is hard to miss as it’s showing up on clothing, purses, and accessories this fall. On today’s blog I’m going to show you a few ways to wear the popular snakeskin print. Animal print in general makes a bold statement. If you aren’t sure if it’s right for you then start out small with jewelry or other accessories such as purses or belts. I have a leopard cuff (like this one) that I bought many years ago and every time I put it on it makes a fashion statement. Something unique like that will give you many years of wear and is worth the purchase.
Tips to wearing snakeskin print:
This season the colors of snakeskin vary from the traditional shades of taupes, browns, and black that we have seen in the past. I recently bought a teal colored python skirt that I’m having fun wearing. Snakeskin pattern is eye catching, pair this print with other solid clothing. Unlike leopard print, which works more as a neutral and pairs well with florals and plaid, snake print looks better alone. Wearing it alone helps to keep it from clashing with what else you’re wearing. Try to select similar colors in your python print for your matching solids.
Accessories:
Here’s where you can have some fun and not worry as much about clashing. Especially with purses. Snakeskin purses area a perfect ensemble to any outfit. Belts also give a tunic top or sweater dress an entirely new look and a perfect way to subtly wear animal print.
Boots:
Low booties aren’t as overpowering as taller boots can be and add a really cool vibe to just about any outfit. Here you do not need to be over concerned with matching and I’ve seen many cute low heeled boots and shoes to experiment with.
Dresses and Skirts:
Fun to wear and make more eye catching so keep your everything else you are wearing complimentary neutral. Solid tops work best with printed skirts.
Pants:
Keep in mind this pattern will accentuate your legs so choose a smaller patterned print. There are many fun colored jeans in python print that you can experiment with. Wear them with solid tops.
Blouses and Tops:
This is probably the easiest way to try python print. Just pair them with solid bottoms. You can even have fun with some of the teal and pinks that we are now seeing.
Have a little fun on the wild side this season and slither a little snakeskin into your wardrobe. It will give your look a cool vibe

I love the concept of this blog! “women should have fun with fashion- no matter their age.” and in total agreement. Add in the name–two drink minimum, and I’m hooked! I had no idea that you can mix leopard with other prints because it can be considered neutral! I am not a very bold dresser, but I may actually give it a try! The checked out the link to the cuff and its looks adorable! I like the concept of starting slow at first and the sample of the accesories! Thanks for the tips!

Hello Theresa,
Thanks so much for reaching out to me. Yes!Leopard can be mixed with almost any pattern. Snakeskin is a larger pattern so it is important that you make sure to let it stand out on its own. I love statement cuffs too, they are always in style. Cuffs are like art work where they are eye catching and tell a story. I hope that you continue to read the blogs and would look forward to hearing from you again soon.
Regards,
Nancy

Hi!
I have a fair amount of leopard and snakeskin -and have my eye on an olive zebra print sweater. I love this look on you! I am a bit of a fan of moto jackets as I love how they look so cool and amplify a look. Yours is great and that skirt is as well! I love the light air look and the blue that is unexpected ! Great look!
