How to Wear Statement Jewelry
You should always choose your statement jewelry with the idea of selecting something for the outfit you are wearing, and not to make yourself stand out. That’s where fashion faux pas are made. Many times, a person will purchase a piece hoping to make a memorial appearance, which is not a very good idea. The way that we dress is a form of self-expression. It reflects our personal style, so if you are looking to be something you’re not with a statement piece, you’re sending the wrong message.
When shopping for a statement piece look for attractive details and features. Ask yourself how will you wear it? What will you wear it with? Is this really me?

Looking for statement jewelry? Below are a few pieces that caught my eye
Statement pieces can be thought of as accessories that will take your look from plain to noteworthy, just as long as they still allow the real you to stand out.
Do’s and Don’ts of wearing statement jewelry pieces
- Only wear one statement piece at a time, if you’re wearing a statement necklace keep your earrings simple.
- Make sure your statement jewelry enhances what you are wearing.
- Your statement piece should not scream “look at me”
- Make it your own- if you’re not comfortable with your statement jewelry piece, it will show. Try to find something that fits your personality.
I tend to like statement cuffs (like this one) They are an easy fit, they store and travel well and they usually are not an overbearing fashion statement.
However, I’ve made many mistakes in purchasing items that I thought I would wear and never did. Usually this happens while on vacation. Or, as I call it shopping “under the influence” that is the influence of… I just need to buy something because this sales person is sweet, or you’re with friends, having fun and there may have been a few too many cocktails involved.
Occasionally, I will get lucky and find a piece I haven’t worn in years that completes a look with something new. That’s always a nice perk. Just keep in mind that clothing & jewelry choices will not change who you are. They may transform your look, but underneath, it’s still you. The real you is determined by your true caricature and not what you’re wearing.
In the end, the utmost desired statement piece you can ever own, to make your appearance shine is a smile.
Cheers!
