Metallics no longer scream disco as they may have back in the seventies. Today, a subtle shimmer adds a touch of luxury, instantly elevating your style day and night. The trends we are seeing right now include:

Metallic Shoe Trends I’ve tried and love

Lace-ups sandals are making a comeback this season. I like to tie them both low around my ankle or up high gladiator style. Of course, I remember wearing the platforms in the 70s; the styles they are showing now are exactly what I used to wear back then.

I recently purchased these Dolce Vita lace-up Nena sandals with a wicker-looking block heel. I had been eyeing them at a major outlet store but didn’t want to spend the money; then, I saw that they were available on Amazon for $30 less. They offer everything I’m looking for in summer shoes, comfort and style, and the metallic color provides versatility. Of course, saving money means I can look for another pair of summer sandals, right?

I want to try platforms again, but I’m slightly nervous about tripping. Although I guess that I will own a pair of platforms before summer officially starts. These platforms are on my radar.

Flatform slides have a relaxed and cool vibe. The chunkiness has a bit of attitude. You can always relay on slides as comfortable shoes for everyday wear.
