How to Wear White Jeans in Winter

Recently, I joined a group of women on Instagram in posting about wearing winter white. I thought it would be helpful if I shared a few fashion tips on how to style white jeans in winter. First, I feel that it is very important to find a pair of white jeans that flatter your figure type. Anyone can wear white jeans, don’t be fooled with age limitations. However, when I look to purchase white jeans, I always go up a size. I feel that white is a little less forgiving than darker colors when it comes to camouflaging cellulite on your legs.

Once you find a well-fitting pair of white jeans the styling options can be numerous. Winter can seem to drag out longer than we want it to. Changing over from dark denim to white or ivory denim is refreshing, especially on dreary looking winter days.  Below are a few of my personal favorite ways to wear white denim.

Tops & Jackets to Wear with White Jeans

• A bulky oversized neutral colored sweater paired with brown or tan boots. Purses and coats in similar or shades of tan and brown bring it to a more monochromatic look which to me looks classy  
• Grey is another complimentary color to wear with white denim in winter. Your shoes and other accessories in black or tan will keep in all looking harmonious.   
• Dark Denim shirts are fool proof with white jeans and with this combo you can go with black, tan, or brown shoes and purses

Shoes

Depending on the weather you can where boots, tennis shoes, loafers, or even wellies.

I like a monochromatic look so my personal favorite would be to wear a light tan or camel colored type coat with your denim. You might want to add a little contrast and experiment by adding a bright color such as red. You can do this with a red lip, a red statement boot. If color isn’t for you then navy accents always look great with white jeans.

Forever in blue jeans was a hit song but it’s not meant for fashion trends. Do not be afraid to wear white jeans in winter. They are basically just another pair of jeans in your closet. Enjoy changing up your darker shades of denim for the lighter shades as we anxiously await winter to end.
