As I mentioned in last week’s newsletter, Brittany and I are going to share tried and true testimonials on products that we have used and feel are worth our Two Drink Minimum seal of approval. To start, I’m going to talk about a serum that I have faithfully used for over ten years.
In regards to serums, I started using them in my forties. I’ve switched up the brands several times because I enjoy testing out different products to see what works best for my skin. One product I always keep going back to is Skinceuticles C & E Ferulic. This serum is a game changer. The drawback, is pricey. And for that reason, I’ve often looked for alternatives. I just have yet to find an alternative that compares. This facial serum remains a tried and true favorite of mine, because, quite simply, it works.
My “Must Have” Anti-Aging Product

If I had to pick only one must have anti-aging product, this would be it. A facialist once referred to it as “The Holy Grail of Beauty Products“. It reduces the signs of aging and works to brighten and even your skin. It also helps to increase your skin elasticity. All with just 4-5 drops. A little goes a long way. In fact, she also told me that it stays on your skin for up to 72 hours and you do not have to worry about water washing it off.
I think the combination of vitamin C and E works well on my skin. Referring to a post I did previously on facial oils, I mentioned that vitamin C and E are two of my favorites. The Vitamin C works to protect your skin from UVA and UVB rays. The antioxidants in vitamin C are especially beneficial when you apply it before your sunscreen. Vitamin E helps to repair your skin, and a combination of the two is a benefit to maintaining healthy looking skin.
The anti-aging serum that makes a difference in the way my skin looks and feels
As much as I’ve tried, I have never been able to find an alternative I like with the same percentage of vitamin C as the Skinceuticles C & E. There are a variety of other brands available, but you need to pay attention to the percentage of vitamin C, and make sure it is pure and not diluted. A few drops at a time and this serum should last for months. I always apply the serum under my sunscreen when I know that I will be spending time outdoors. However, my dermatologists recommended using it in the evening. In my honest opinion, using Skinceuticles C & E has helped to reduce sun damage and brought a more youthful appearance to my skin.

Hi Nancy!
This was interesting to read as I have heard good things about Skinceuticals. The price is a bit hefty, but if it lasts and works on your skin, it would be worthwhile. I use Vit C and Hylaurounic Acid – not tried Vit E before. Ill have to look into this product and brand more.
Happy Monday!

Hi Jess,
The Vitamin C and Hyaluronic Acid are both very good. The skinceuticles is a little pricy and that is why I shopped around. I just keep going back to it. It’s important to pay attention to good skin care as we are getting older. That’s why when something works I try to stay with it.
Have a Great Week!
