Recently, I was given the opportunity to enjoy a one-night getaway and today I am sharing my review of the highly acclaimed Inn on Fifth in Naples, Florida. Besides it’s beautiful beaches, Naples has plenty to offer. There are some areas you will find very quaint, yet this city has a hidden appeal of sophistication. Strolling through it’s downtown area, you will find artwork and sculptures that add a cosmopolitan flair.
Fifth Avenue South, Naples
The acclaimed Fifth Avenue South has an array of shopping and restaurants with diverse menus to please every palate. Staying at the Inn on Fifth offers you world class accommodations with the charismatic atmosphere of Fifth Avenue at your doorstep.
I feel lucky to live in this tropical paradise, and I would encourage anyone considering future travel to visit Naples. However, with travel currently limited because of the pandemic, I was eager to impersonate a tourist and enjoy what others have come from afar to experience.
My husband and I decided on a midweek stay. We like to dine out on weekdays as it is usually quieter than the weekends.
When we arrived, the bellman escorted us to the concierge at the Club Level Suites. Dahlia greeted us with enthusiasm and explained all the available amenities. Our room had a very contemporary feel with a balcony that overlooked Fifth Avenue. I especially liked the spacious and brightly lit bathroom and it’s stylish details.
Club Level Suites at the Inn on Fifth
After unpacking, we decided to walk around and browse the shops. When we returned to our room, we enjoyed cocktails and hors d’oeuvres which were included in the room rate while getting dressed for dinner.
Dinner at Ocean Prime
Our dinner at Ocean Prime was delicious and the service was very attentive. We had ordered a dessert which we could not finish, so we conveniently took it back to our room and placed it in the refrigerator. While there, I traded out my heels for a pair of flats before heading back out on Fifth Avenue. Walking up and down the avenue and people watching is a favorite pastime of ours. My husband suggested we head over to Café Milano for a chilled Limoncello nightcap. During this entire evening I felt comfortable as people were social distancing and wearing their masks. Overall, it was an enjoyable date night.
Rooftop Pool & Restaurant
After a restful night’s sleep, we headed up to the rooftop for a continental breakfast which is also included with your room. The setting was spectacular, and we were able to enjoy our breakfast with a panoramic view. Later, we decided to take advantage of another hotel amenity. Located on the 2nd floor, the turquoise pool, and plush deep blue cushioned couches were inviting. This was a fantastic place to relax and unwind. We lounged poolside for a few hours then ordered lunch before checking out.
We could easily have kept this vacation mode going and extended our stay another night. The Inn on Fifth currently offers full time Florida residents discounted rates for summer A weekend getaway package is a perfect mini vacation as it is a safe way to rejuvenate and escape the monotonous routines of everyday pandemic life.
