Pantone Color of the Year
It’s here ladies, the Pantone color of the year is Living Coral. What exactly does this mean? Well, Pantone is a company that will match color in a variety of industries. Every year, they introduce a color that embraces us in this continuously ever-changing world of design and fashion. Yes, the color they select is marketed and utilized as the “it” color of the year.
I love color and a vibrant juicy coral is a great color for my skin tone, so I will happily abide by wearing it.
As we age, our skin appears pale, and we lose that natural rosiness to our cheeks and lips. Have you ever noticed how your lips were once rosy and now they are pretty much colorless?
Therefore, you should choose to add some color not only in your make up but with your wardrobe to keep from looking washed out. Please do not get me wrong as I love a black dress and dressing in all black however, I will always add a hint of color even if it’s just on my lips.
The color of the year is certainly NOT limited to the fashion industry. You will see burst of coral not only in makeup such as lipsticks, and nail polish, but also in-home decor. Think about all the costal colors and how airy and light they make a room look.
Additionally, when I worked in the hospitality industry, linen companies and event planners always made sure to work with the pantone color each year to keep that ever-changing trendy appearance when hosting events and conventions.
Coral is one of those colors that enhances any complexion tone, especially when your skin is bronzed.

Coral is a very bright color so I would suggest not dressing in head to toe color, rather keep your color to one item of clothing or accessory. Experiment to see what you’re comfortable with.

Have fun and embrace your tangy side.
