Heading to a party this weekend? Want to bring an easy dish that everyone will share? You don’t want to attend an event empty handed and for that, I’m sharing a quick and easy triple fudge chocolate cake recipe. I’ve been making this for quite a few years, and it’s always well received. It’s chocolate need I say more!? Chocolate goes with everything and if the weather doesn’t cooperate for your weekend party, then for sure this is a crowd pleaser!
Quick & Easy Triple Fudge Chocolate Cake Ingredients
- 1 pkg. Duncan Hines Chocolate Cake mix
- 1 sm. Pkg. instant chocolate pudding
- 12 oz chocolate chips
- 1 3/4 cups of milk
- 2 large eggs
Steps
Mix all ingredients together by hand and pour into a prepared bundt pan. Bake @350 for about 50 minutes. Let it rest 10-20 minutes before taking it out of the pan and placing it on your serving platter.
Chocolate Ganache Frosting
- 6 oz. chocolate chips
- ½ cup heavy whipping cream
- ½ stick butter
- Dash of sea salt and a few dashes of chili pepper
Steps
Heat the cream in a small saucepan until hot, add the butter and the chocolate chips, stirring constantly until thoroughly melted. Once it has thickened and has a smooth texture remove from stove. Add a dash of sea salt and a couple dashes of chili powder. While the ganache is still warm drizzle it over the cake.
Store the leftover ganache in the refrigerator, it’s great served warm over ice cream. Note: the cake does not have to completely cool before you add the ganache. Also this cake can be made a day before, just keep it covered with a glass dome. (If you do not have a covered cake plate then place it in your microwave without a cover. A microwave is airtight and it will keep the cake just fine) The next day the ganache actually hardens over the cake and it taste similar to a rich and chocolaty hostess cupcake. Enjoy!
