RMS Beauty Product Review

Recently, I was given the opportunity to join in on a Zoom call featuring Rose-Marie Swift, founder of RMS Beauty. If you are not familiar with the brand, let me tell you a little about it.  Rose-Marie is a celebrated makeup artist who has worked in the beauty industry for over thirty five years. Several years ago, Rose-Marie began experiencing health problems. In her healing process and research, she discovered that some of the toxic chemicals and metals in her system were also found in many of the beauty products we use daily. After rebuilding her own health, Rose-Marie realized she wanted to help other women claim their right to healthy, clean beauty. and created the truly organic color cosmetic line, RMS Beauty.

Rose-Marie is aware of what products women want in order to achieve their desired makeup look, while also maintaining the quality of ingredients.  Her objective is to create products that are safe and clean using natural oils that deliver high performance results.

During the call, she shared with us how to correctly apply concealer as well as a few other fun tricks of the trade. After the tutorial, there was a question and answer segment with fellow influencers and makeup artists. I was thrilled to learn that trends may change in time, however basic steps to good skin care and makeup application remain the same.

As a surprise, at the end of the call we were told that we were going to be gifted a few products to try out. In full disclosure, the products were complimentary to try, however my review and thoughts below are my own.

RMS “Un” Cover Up

The “Un” Cover Up concealer is my all time favorite! I may never use another concealer again. My eyes are sensitive. I deal with allergies all year long and I am very picky about what I use. I’ve tried many concealers that have irritated my eyes and left my under-eye area feeling itchy or dry. Some concealers felt sticky. Others were hard to apply evenly, and I found myself tugging and pulling at my under-eye area, which I know is not good.  From the very first time I used this concealer I knew it was the one for me. It is very light weight and sheer. I just patted a very small amount on my under-eye area using my index finger. It went on smooth and felt moisturizing. I use shade 22. Hours later it was still working. I also applied a tad amount on my dark eyelids to lighten them before I applied eye shadow.  

RMS Living Luminizer

I’ve have written before about giving your skin that extra boost with a healthy-looking glow. Every time I apply makeup, I use something that will add a subtle sheen to my skin.I feel that dewy skin always looks healthy. Using the Living Luminizer provided my skin with a subtle sheen without that glittery disco look. It’s sheer formula comes in several shades to bring out individual natural luminosity. I hate to sound repetitive, but I must say once again that the Living Luminizer is a winner. Give the video above a quick watch. I want to show you how to apply the luminizer both on your face to highlight your cheek bones as well as adding a dab on your shoulders too. The luminizer is light enough to use both during the day and in the evening. You can also apply it along the front of your shins, and on your décolletage.  I’ve even used it on the top of my feet to enhance a strappy sandal on summer evenings.

All of the RMS Beauty products are pure and natural and contain high quality ingredients. It’s a fabulous feeling when you find a product that feels luxurious and nourishes your skin at the same time.
