Candied almonds are a perfect way to impress your guests for holiday entertaining. I always set them on a table alongside a charcuterie plate while my guests are enjoying pre-dinner cocktails. Another nice thing about candied almonds is that you can make them ahead of time so it’s one less thing to do if you are entertaining. You can also bring them to party as a homemade hostess gift.
It’s a well-known fact that almonds are a healthy snack. However, did you know that almonds need hot weather and cool winters to survive. Almonds grow on trees and they depend on bee’s pollination to grow. Sometimes almond growers will have to rent bees for pollination, which explains why they can get expensive.
My friend Louanne passed on the recipe below to me, the nice thing about recipes shared amongst friends is that every time you make the recipe you are reminded of that person. With all the recipes I’ve received and shared through the years I am reminded of my wonderful friends and the fond memories I share with them.
