What could be more traditional on Thanksgiving than homemade cornbread. This cornbread recipe is a family favorite and so easy to prepare. I usually pop it in the oven while the turkey is being carved because it really doesn’t take that long to cook. However, it can also be made before you guests arrive. Cornbread also goes very well with chili. I’ve had this recipe for years and it was passed along by my good friend Kathy. After making this for my family, we have decided it’s a keeper at our Thanksgiving Dinner. Read on for the best cornbread ever.

Thanksgiving Activity
Here is an activity suggestion that I read about and thought I would share with you. It’s a nice way stimulate conversation and gratitude around the table during your meal.
On Thanksgiving, place a bowl out with paper and pencil alongside. Ask your guests to write down what they are thankful for and put it in the bowl while waiting for dinner to be served. During dinner you can take turns pulling out the pieces of paper and read them aloud.
A Very Blessed Thanksgiving to everyone!
