You will want to read this post because you may be walking around as a trendsetter without even knowing. Denim jeans are forever on trend. However, the styles do change. Quite often what’s old becomes new again. Who would have thought that the denim jeans which originally designed for working men would turn out to be the most fashionable posh item of clothing a women could own? So ladies take your pick. We have several options of “cool Jeans” to wear. Sharing the best jean styles for women over 50
Faded denim and pastel shades
Faded Denim Styles may be a flashback from the 90’s. Yes, they are once again ultra-cool for spring and summer. I paired my faded jeans with a dark t-shirt shirt and added these Paul Green Boots (currently on sale). Wearing soft pastel sweaters and tops with faded denim give you a fresh clean appeal.
High-Waisted Style
Ok I will admit these might be a little harder to pull off with a shirt tucked in, but I find high-waisted jeans a welcome change from the low-rise style that make me self-conscience every single time I sit down. Also, if you want to pull off wearing a cropped sweater like this, then here is your chance to do so without baring your midriff. I personally feel that a classic crisp button-down with a half tuck is the perfect choices when wearing high rise jeans. Another way to style this popular trend is to wear a button-down shirt left untucked with a sweater layered over.
Cropped
Being that I barely reach 5’4” I like this jean style the best! I never need to alter the length and I can wear them with any shoe height. Cropped jeans look great with flats, sneakers, or chunky heels. They offer the most versatility when it comes to styling. The cropped frayed hemline has more of a funky vibe and looks good with sneakers, and boots. For a more feminine style go with a slightly cuffed or rolled bottom worn with heals. Changing out your shoes will offer several looks with just one pair of jeans.
Fly Button
I have a pair, but I will admit I don’t have patience sometimes to button up these ultra-hip blue jeans. up. Although, the buttons do make a fun fashion statement and free you up from having to wear a belt. My favorite look is to wear them with a graphic tee and a blazer. Fly buttoned jeans also look nice with flowy silk blouses for a feminine and dressy look.
“Style Tip”
No matter what style jeans you choose, remember to balance the proportions. If your pants are baggie and loose fitting, then go with a more fitted top. If your jeans are fitted, then I would wear loose tops and sweaters.
Skinny Jeans versus Wide legged Jeans
Keeping with balance, wide legged jeans look good with bigger chunky heels. This is a fun jean style to wear but if you are on the petite side then you need to elevate your height with shoes.
On the alternative side, skinny jean styles are still going strong. Don’t be afraid to size up in a skinny jean. They need to be comfortable even though they have a snug fit. Skinny jeans look good with any shoe style because of the narrow leg.
Honestly, 2022 is the year to wear any jean style in your closet. Patchwork, embellished, and ripped are a few more blue jean trends. Always wear jeans that fit your personality. Some women do not like the edgy looking ripped jeans. Yet other women wear them confidently. Don’t wear jeans just because they are trendy. With the many styles available, its easy to find the perfect pair that suits you and your body type best.

I’m one to hold on to clothes so its nice that all the styles are popular, but my daughter does keep me well advised as to what styles are the latest. Of course I had to make a few purchases too. I bought the cropped and the high waisted.
I hope yours work out!

i have all these styles in my jean wardrobe. One of my favorites is the wide leg cropped pair. I am still wearing skinny jeans and also love the high waisted jeans as I have a longer torso. You look great im every pair! I really love the pink top with the light jeans on you and the silk blouse with skinnies. It is just fun to change it up.
enjoy your week!

That is my favorite style too Jess, the wide legged cropped. I’m short and I like that I do not have to alter cropped legged denim. It is fun switching it up.
Have a great week!
